Market overview

Under point j) of paragraph (1) of Section 73 of the Act on Railway Transport amended by Act no. LXXVI of 2008, the analysis and the evaluation of the railway transport market's development fall under the National Transport Authority's Department of Railway Regulation responsibilities and power. In the course of its market supervision and control activity and market supervision procedures, the National Transport Authority's  Department of Railway Regulation primarily analyzes the legal, technical and financial conditions of usage of access to open-access networks (railway services). The decisions relating to the result of market supervision procedures are public under the Act on Railway Transport.
